Enabling Enhanced Networking
Enhanced Networking provides higher I/O performance and lower CPU utilization by using SR-IOV (Single Root I/O Virtualization). You enable it by selecting an instance type that supports it and ensuring the appropriate drivers are installed on the OS.
Choose a supported instance type (e.g., C5, M5, R5).
Ensure the necessary drivers (ena or ixgbevf) are installed on the AMI.
For most modern AMIs, ENA (Elastic Network Adapter) is enabled by default.
Verify by checking the 'ENA Support' attribute on the instance.
